In this new publication in collaboration with researchers at the Ohio State University, Anca described a method for the non-targeted analysis of contaminants in fish livers. This method allowed for the identification of antibiotics in the livers of fish sampled from the Scioto River (Ohio, US). Most disturbingly, erythrohydrobupropion, the metabolite of a well-known antidepressant, was identified the first time in fish livers using our new method, and was detected in the tissues of all the fish!
